Vishal Shah
Co-President
Vishal H. Shah defends employers in labor and employment matters, including both single-plaintiff litigation and nationwide class actions. Vishal practices in both state and federal courts across the United States. His experience includes fact discovery, electronic discovery, taking and defending depositions, motion practice and argument, evidentiary hearings, expert discovery, trial preparation, and appellate briefing.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Vishal practiced law at another international law firm, where he represented life insurers and long-term care insurers in trial and appellate litigation. His life insurance practice focused on a wide range of legal issues, including material misrepresentations, policy lapses, fraud, stranger-originated life insurance transactions (STOLI), and the secondary market for life insurance. His long-term care practice focused on premium rate increase issues, coverage disputes, and claims administration.
In his spare time, Vishal enjoys playing and watching sports (including the Alabama Crimson Tide) and experiencing different cultures through both travel and food.
